ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1. Help for Display Driver Install ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Use the Display Driver Install utility program to install the display drivers
you need for your high-resolution display adapters. You will be prompted for
the location of the display drivers.
This window shows the types of display adapters the system will use for your
display devices. To accept these values, select OK.
To change the values shown, use the mouse or Spacebar to place a check mark in
the box next to the choice. Then select OK.

Select Primary Display to see a list of display-adapter types you can select
for the primary display device attached to your system.

Select Secondary Display to see a list of display-adapter types you can select
for the secondary display device attached to your system.

Select OK to accept the values displayed in the Display Driver Install window.

Select Cancel if you want to cancel the operation before the display driver is
installed or leave the program when the install is complete.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 2. Help for Primary Display Adapter Type ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Select the type of display adapter for your primary display device. To
determine the type of display adapter you have, refer to the documentation that
came with the display adapter.

Select the type of display adapter for your secondary display device. To
determine the type of display adapter you have, refer to the documentation that
came with the display adapter.

This window lists various display devices. Select the one attached to your
system. To determine the type of display device you have, refer to the
documentation that came with the display device.
If your specific display device is not listed, select a display device that is
similar to the one you have.

Use this list to select the display device attached to your system. To
determine the type of display device you have, refer to the documentation that

This window lists all resolutions that are available for your display device.
Use the mouse or Spacebar to highlight the desired resolution. Then, select
OK.

ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ <hidden> Help for Display Resolution ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Use this list to select the resolution for your display device. (Resolution is
the measure of the sharpness of an image, expressed as the number of lines and
columns on the display screen.)
If you do not want a resolution shown in the list, use the mouse or Spacebar to
highlight a resolution.

Select OK after you have made a selection from the Display Resolution list.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 7. Help for Specify Source Directory ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
This window shows the drive and directory from which the Display Support
Diskette will be read.
If the value is correct, select Install.
If you want to change the drive or directory, select Change.

The Source Directory field specifies the drive and directory from which the
system will read the display-driver files. If the value displayed is not
correct, select Change.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ <hidden> Help for Change ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Select Change if you want to use a directory other than the one that is
displayed. When you select Change, you see a list of other directories you can
select.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ <hidden> Help for Install ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Select Install if the source directory is correct and you are ready to install
the display driver.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ <hidden> Help for Select Directory ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
You can change the source directory by typing directly into the entry field or
by selecting from the list.
Highlight an entry from the list to add it to the entry field. Select an entry
from the list if you want to display subdirectories of that entry. As you
continue to select subdirectories from the list, you can proceed through a
directory tree until the complete path is shown in the entry field.
The entry in the Source directory is field must be an existing valid OS/2*
drive or drive and subdirectory.
After you select a directory, select Set.

Select Set to accept the value that is displayed in the Source Directory is
field.

The entry in the Source directory is field must be an existing valid OS/2*
drive or subdirectory.

An irrecoverable error occurred while the display driver was being installed.
Select OK to exit from the program.

A control file containing the display support profile must exist on the source
drive. The name of the display support profile file must follow the naming
convention: xxxxxxxx.DSP. The letters DSP stand for "Display Support Profile".
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 8. Help for Display Driver Install ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Use Display Driver Install to install the display driver you need for your
high-resolution display adapter. For example, if you have an SVGA display
device, use this utility to install the associated display driver.
